ADVOCACY FOR CANCER PATIENT SEMINARS
Our Advocacy for Cancer Patient Seminars are held as an annual fundraiser for the fund in an effort to educate the community about hot topics with respect to cancer care from both the medical and legal aspects. They are professional seminars with the country's and state's leading experts delivering up to date information on topics pertaining to cancer patients from employment law to healthcare. Medical and legal attendees are able to receive continuing legal and medical education credits for their attendance and 100% of funds raised go directly to the Shannon J. Shaw Memorial Fund at the UNM Cancer Center.
The team roping event is another annual fundraiser the SJS Fund hosts in conjunction with Cowboys for Cancer Research. Team Ropers from across the State and surrounding areas come together for some safe fun in the sun and are given opportunities to win cash prizes and saddles, as well as other incentives.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!
The Shannon J. Shaw Memorial Fund hosts and sponsors Annual Advocacy Seminars reaching out to different professions and the general public across the State of New Mexico. The Advocacy Seminars offer up to date, valuable information and allows the opportunity for attorneys and healthcare professionals alike to earn continuing education credits with presentations given by speakers from a multitude of backgrounds.
